This trip happens October 4, 2022

A short story before we start. Together with my closest friend or best-friend Tahna and Abi were planning to travel in South Korea, and I know SK needs to file tourist visa application and 3 of us was not ready for that. So that's why I offered and suggested why not we explore and visit Singapore.

This was our 2nd international travel, our first travel was a sponsored travel competing on a friendly dance competition way back college days in South Korea, which we are the the Philippine representative. I consider this Singapore trip as our first 'independent' international travel since we do our own itinerary, we have the means to try this and that (since we already have our own money hahah), and with all that its special since we will be celebrating Abi's birthday in Singapore.

And by the way, my always travel buddy 'Gahgah' is also with us.

Singapore, Singapore

ree

Tips when you are planning to have a barkada/group travel, book a flight 6 months or more ahead of time. Why book a ticket? because once you booked a ticket for them, they can no longer resist haha. Kidding aside, of course you also make sure that your friends will able to travel, but from my end I can assure this 3 are always on the go and of course 6 months preparation is enough to set a budget for the trip.

Singapore is a visa free country for the Filipinos, and a tourist friendly. This country has so much to offer that six days is just enough to have a whole Singapore experience fully. Every edge of the street and buildings are instagram worthy.

Airfare

ree

There are multiple airlines you can choose like Philippine Airlines, Trans Asia, Cebu Pacific and etc. Ever since we got our airfare from Cebu Pacific, since it was on sale 6 months before the travel dates October 4 - 6, 2022. We currently live in Cagayan de Oro City so we got a connecting flight from CGY - MNL - SIN, all in all its P8,879.79 round trip ticket.

  • Airfare (Hand-carry Luggage): P8,879.79

  • 20kg Baggage (we divided into 4): P2,365/4 = 591.25

  • Travel Tax: P1,620

  • Airfare total: P11,091.04

Other Requirements needed before the flight with a cost.

  • Accommodation good for 6days (with booking confirmation, and we use Agoda): P35,542.64/4 = P8,885.66

  • Travel Insurance (Chubb Travel Insurance): P2,608.00/4 = P652.00

  • SG Arrival Card (need to be ready 3days before your date on arrival in Singapore)

  • VaxCert Ph (from DOH) + Save Travel certification

  • Itinerary tickets from Klook

Grand total: P20,628.7 (per person)

Singapore DIY Itinerary (w/ Budget)

Our flight was on time and the process in NAIA airport was smooth, we don't have a lot of questions during immigration interview, except Tahna. I highly suggest, that be honest to your answer and relax, because once the immigration officer find you nervous, there will be a lot of follow-up questions which brings you more nervous. Just stay calm and be prepared with the said documents/requirements I mentioned above.

On that area you can also exchange your Philippine peso to Singaporean Dollar, but for less hassle you can already look for exchange rate store in Philippines and I believe SGD is more higher value in Ph.

1:00 AM - Train is no longer available near in Changi Airport, the only way is to take a Grab Taxi App (which is more cheaper) but unfortunately we arrived at the airport very late, so we don't have a choice but to grab a taxi in the airport, but its quite expensive.

ree

and unfortunately, this needs a reservation and honestly i don't feel the stuff here. So we just took some photo at the lubby.
